I saw this last week and actually spent about 45 minutes testing my intelligence and passing the link around to my friends.

This new push by Trivial Pursuit leverages the never ending quest to declare which sex is superior in intelligence. Not only do I think this is a genius move, and perfect match for Trivial Pursuit, but Hasbro went above and beyond with this one: When you play online at The Trivial Pursuit Experiment you’re first asked if you’re a male or female (duh!, it’s the battle of sexes!)- so, when you answer a question correctly you are served up a nice little kitschy phrase telling you how smart you are, and (in my opinion the best part, and smartest part of this whole thing) a FAIL video of the opposite sex. Coming straight from failblog and/or youtube these videos make you cringe, laugh, let out some UGH, and OWs, and then remember that’s why your sex is smarter- ’cause you don’t do stupid things like that dumb person did in the video. PHEW.

Yeah, I’m talking about peeing. Sitorsquat was introduced to me a few weeks ago, and I’ve already expressed how excited I was about it on twitter, more than once! I immediately downloaded the iphone app and added my favorite place to pee before work:)

Charmin apparently found sitorsquat and put some money into it, lightly branded it, and built an iphone app for it. This is so smart from a brands perspective. They  found a useful and entertaining tool that was relevant to the brand and just went with it. Go Charmin! More brands need to be doing stuff like this!

So this week is internet week here in the big apple…I know, internet week, what is that really? Well, for the most part we all think it’s a week long list excuses events before the Webbys.

So, I wandered into Gallery Bar on Orchard st. last night and into the internet week startup meetup. It was, for the most part, a lot of idea pitching and too much talking. But, I did meet some really cool and interesting people that had already launched their startups and were meerly there to find this person or that person to jion their team. Which brings me to my first new website.

Dan Chaparian, a founder of youIntern.com introduced himself to me and eventually started talking about his startup. This time, I actually listened. This site provides a forum for potential interns and employers looking for interns to meet. It focuses on marketing and advertising, with the hopes of moving into different realms of the working world.

youintern provides a place for interns to review their internships. Not only is this a great place for potential interns to hear what really goes on in that internship, but it’s also working towards eliminating the abuse of interns. I was an intern, my friends were interns, and really there is no way to get a job presently if you don’t have internship experience. But, because this is a relatively new phenom. I, as well as most of my friends, have experienced the intern hells. So, here is this wonderful site working towards bettering internships and helping out interns, as well as benefiting employers. Pass it along to anyone looking for an internship as a great resource for them to use.

Modernista advertising agency has an amazing innovative website. Seriously.

The idea of self promotion by using promotional materials that live throughout the web is really wonderful and refreshing. Even if you’re not interested in ad agency stuff, take a look at this website. This is creativity and innovation.

So I know this isn’t what I’m about, or really probably anything you guys care about, but I’m sharing it with you because I think it’s cool, and well, this is my blog after all. So, my lovely cousin sent this to me(credits to Gawker), probably because I used to work at Vice, but more importantly because this is a pretty high tech advertising scheme on Vice’s part. After careful consideration I think it was a really smart move. I mean, hey, if you need the money and don’t want to loose face, this is a pretty great strategy for getting both accomplished.

I saw this link that @Juliaroy posted on Twitter last night. At first I was confused by what it was, but I played along and waited. I can’t describe the end feeling as a pleasant surprise…I was really really excited. I don’t want to say exactly what it is, because I will ruin the fun for you. But, it’s so smart, fun to watch and play, and will no doubt be a viral success. Enjoy.
